U.S. Navy SH-60B Seahawk

Persian Gulf, 6 February 1998 — Members of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team practice for a rapid insertion as they rappel from an SH-60B Seahawk helicopter to the flight deck of USS George Washington (CVN 73) as the ship steams in the Persian Gulf. The Washington battle group is operating in the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Southern Watch which is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq.
