U.S.M.C. CH-46E Sea Knight

USS Essex (LHD 2), 03 February 2007 — CH-46E Sea Knight helicopters of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265 (Reinforced) board the flight deck here, to continue their role as the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s aviation combat element. In a time frame of approximately five hours, the ship’s Combat Cargo Detachment and the squadron’s personnel combined their efforts to help embark more than 20 tons of cargo and 21 helicopters aboard the ship.
