V-22 Osprey

Atlantic Ocean, 05 June 2006 — The amphibious transport dock USS San Antonio’s air department began conducting flight operations with the V-22 Osprey as part of its certification process. The ship is conducting several tests using the tilt-rotor V-22 Osprey and the CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters to determine aircraft capabilities with the Navy’s newest class of amphibious transport dock ships.
