French Navy Alouette III Helicopter
Gulf of Lion, 04 October 2006 —
A French navy Alouette III Helicopter from the French support ship FS Marne (A630) takes off from the flight deck aboard guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71). Ross is the flagship for Standing NATO Maritime Group Two (SNMG-2) and is currently participating in NATO Exercise Brilliant Midas 2006, a multinational exercise in the Mediterranean.
