Forward deployed in an undisclosed location, 09 April 2003 — A member of the 66th Expeditionary Rescue Squadron is checking over the 50 caliber machine gun before a flight. The 66th had just completed a Time Compliance weapon modifications on an HH-60 Pavehawk helicopter. Forward deployed, the 410 Air Expeditionary Wing, is responsible for combat search and rescue sorties flown in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraqi's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
