Afghanistan, 17 December 2003 — Delegates of Afghanistan's Grand Council disembark a U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter which landed on Afghanistan's newly completed 'Ring Road' on Dec. 16, 2003. The delegates took part in a ceremony marking the dedication of the first phase of the highway project, a five hundred kilometer section, linking Kabul with Khandahar.
