Fallon Naval Air Station, Nevada, USA, 25 June 2001 — An MI-8 HIP helicopter moves in as an aggressor dropping a simulated chemical agent during a non-combatant evacuation scenario for the exercise. Desert Rescue IX is the premiere search and rescue (SAR) training exercise involving Navy, Army, Air Force, and Marine personnel. It is conducted at the ranges of Fallon Naval Air Station, Nevada.
