At sea aboard USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), 28 April 2002 — Aircraft assigned to the Iwo Jima’s air combat element fly over the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship during operations in the Atlantic Ocean. Iwo Jima was commissioned into the fleet last summer and is preparing for her upcoming maiden deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
