Lt. j.g. Jeffrey C. Gando is steadied by Storekeeper Seaman Deandre A. Callahan
as he directs an incoming U.S. Marine Corps AH-1W Super Cobra, assigned to the
“Flying Tigers” of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron Two Six Two (HMM-262), to
landing on the flight deck aboard
USS Harpers Ferry
(LSD 49).
Harpers Ferry
provided a platform for pilots to perform deck-landing qualifications.
