Strait of Hormuz, 19 April 2005 — An AH-1W Super Cobra sets on the deck aboard the amphibious transport dock USS Duluth (LPD 6) as a UH-1N Huey takes off during routine flight operations in the Strait of Hormuz. Duluth is currently transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, signifying the end of their deployment to the Persian Gulf and the last leg of her final underway period as a commissioned Navy vessel. Upon completion of the deployment, Duluth is scheduled to be decommissioned ending a 39-year life cycle as a U.S. Navy ship.
