Al Qaim, Iraq, 17 June 2005 — Marines with Marine Light/Attack Helicopter Squadron 269, Detachment Al Qaim reload an AH–1W Super Cobra before it goes out on a mission. Captain Brian J. Madora, the helicopter’s pilot from Montclair, Virginia, keeps a watchful eye to ensure the ordnance is loaded properly. One of the most knowledgeable pilots in the squadron, Madora is on his third deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
