The crew of an AH-1W Cobra assigned to the “Gun Runners” of Marine Light/Attack Helicopter Squadron Two Six Nine (HML/A-269) go through preflight checks prior to the beginning of daily flight operations aboard the amphibious assault ship

(LHA 2).
Saipan and embarked U.S. Marines from the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade (2/MEB) are deployed conducting operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
