Coast of Southern California, 23 June 1997 — AH-1W Super Cobra from Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron-369 (HMLA-369) practices flight operations while aboard the USS Tarawa (LHA 1) during “Exercise Kernel Blitz '97”. “Kernel Blitz” is taking place off the coast of Southern California and Camp Pendleton to train Navy and Marine Corps personnel in amphibious operations.
