Victory Base, Mogadishu Somalia, 01 January 1996 — Soldiers from the 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized) participate in an exercise known as Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART). The soldiers are notified an aircraft has gone down and they must move in to secure the area and rescue any injured personnel. The soldiers secure the perimeter around an AH-1 Cobra helicopter.
